Since 2019, the PVEPD has assigned patrol officers as School Liaison Officers (SLOs) to each PVPUSD campus within PVE. Our SLOs closely partner with school faculty to provide a safe school environment. These officers' full-time assignment is to patrol, but they also spend time during their shift to be on campus to develop relationships with students and faculty. The relationships built enhance our levels of communication with the school district, provide safety, and encourage reporting suspicious behavior and crimes to us.
