Mayor Dawn Murdock is serving her first term on the City Council. Prior to this, she served on the PVE Pension Ad Hoc Committee Working Group.  She has been active in the community serving as the PVIS Cotillion Chair, the Palos Verdes Assembly Treasurer, and as a Girl Scouts leader.

Mayor Murdock has been a resident of PVE for over 24 years with her husband Bob and their four children—two daughters, graduates of UC Berkeley and UCLA, and twin boys in 10th grade at PVHS.  In addition to a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University, she has earned an MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA. With over 20 years in strategy and business operations consulting at Accenture and elsewhere, she specializes in the healthcare industry.

Mayor Murdock has worked extensively with executive teams to develop strategic plans, improve business operations, and implement performance measurement programs. She brings strong fiscal acumen, problem solving, and collaboration skills to the Council. She is a strong advocate of being data-driven, improving transparency, and soliciting input from all stakeholder groups.

She is committed to working on behalf of the residents to not only address their concerns and resolve issues, but also to leave the City in a better place than when she started.
