How can I get a copy of the City Council Agenda?
City Council agendas are posted at City Hall, 340 Palos Verdes Drive West, PV Golf Club Pro-Shop, 3301 Via Campesina, and Malaga Cove Library, 2400 Via Campesina, at least 72 hours preceding each meeting, unless a Special Meeting is called. Agendas and staff reports are also available online, or you may subscribe by joining E-News.
When are City Council meetings televised?
Effective July 2016, City Council meetings can be viewed via live webstream (and on demand thereafter) on the City website MEETINGS & AGENDAS banner or on "City Meetings" under the GOVERNMENT tab.
How do I register to vote or change my voter registration information?
Registration-by-mail forms are available at City Hall, all post offices and libraries, or by calling the L.A. County Registrar of Voter's office at 800-815-2666, option 5; or register online at http://www.registertovote.ca.gov. These forms are also used if you wish to change/update your party affiliation. You must be registered within 15 days of any election to be eligible to vote. See our Elections page for additional information.
How can I obtain a passport?
Please contact your local post office or visit the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs, at www.travel.state.gov/passport for additional information.
How do I obtain a certified Certificate of Residency?
Pensioners or other interested persons may request a Certificate of Residency by visiting the City Clerk's office at City Hall in person. Proof of current residency in Palos Verdes Estates and picture ID (driver's license, passport, or state-issued identification card) and/or current utility bill with person's name and current PVE address is required. Certification fee: $3.00
How do I obtain a marriage license?
A marriage license may be obtained from the L.A. County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk's office at 12400 Imperial Highway, Norwalk, CA 90650. An application form is available online at www.lavote.net or you may call the County Registrar's Birth, Death, and Marriage Records section at 562-462-2716.
