The Palos Verdes Estates Police Department is asking businesses and residents in PVE to participate in our Voluntary Camera Registration Program.  Video surveillance is one of the best methods for apprehending criminals and convicting suspects who are caught in the act of committing a crime.  Participation in this program is a great example of community-police partnerships and is something we highly value as a police agency serving our community.  

This program will allow PVEPD to directly contact those who have taken part in this voluntary program if they are in an area where a crime has occurred.  The PVEPD would ask participants to check their video recordings for a certain date and time period.  If recorded footage provides evidence to a crime, the PVEPD can obtain the recording for further investigation.
