The beautiful Palos Verdes Golf Club, designed by George Thomas and William Bell, was built in 1924 with 213 acres laid out for an eighteen-hole golf course over gentle hills and overlooking the ocean. In 2013, the golf course underwent a major renovation which included several new greens, tees, chipping areas and all new bunkers to improve the quality and the challenge of play. A two-year renovation and enlargement of the Clubhouse was completed in 2007 and offers dining and banquet facilities, a bar and card room and luxury locker rooms. The Club is governed by Officers and a Board of Directors elected from the membership.

The Club operates an outstanding restaurant, which is open to the public and serves breakfast Saturday and Sunday; lunch Tuesday-Sunday; dinner Wednesday through Friday. The dining and meeting rooms offer fantastic views overlooking the golf course and the Southern California coastline. Additionally, the Club has exquisite banquet facilities, which includes exceptional catering options. The Clubhouse has hosted many meetings, parties, weddings and other memorable occasions.

Membership:

Owners of residential property in Palos Verdes Estates have first priority for membership. A separate wait list is maintained for non-PVE property owners. Applications may be obtained from the Club. Current membership includes 600 regular members, 130 other category members (such as Social Clubhouse membership, which has no golfing privileges, or Senior Status membership, which is based on age and years of membership).

Programs:

The Club offers several quality programs to its members. Programs available include: Golf lessons with PGA Professionals; Women’s Golf Programs; Junior Golf Programs; SCGA Tournaments; Community Benefit Tournaments.

The Palos Verdes Golf Club is truly treasured by the community. It is a great place to improve one’s golf swing, as well as meet new neighbors and friends.

Award-Winning Course

Golf Club 5 The beautiful Palos Verdes Golf Club celebrated its 75th anniversary in 1999. Numerous enhancements over the years have modernized the course which still retains its traditional character as designed by William (Billy) Bell and West Coast architect George Thomas.

The Palos Verdes Golf Club is semi-private and many of the starting times are reserved for members. The clubhouse is open to the public for dining and special events.

Banquets, Weddings and Private Parties

Golf Club 6 The Palos Verdes Golf Club is the perfect setting for weddings, wedding receptions, baby showers, bridal showers, anniversaries, birthdays, and other celebrations. The Clubhouse

The elegant Spanish style clubhouse has been a center for Peninsula social life since the 1920's. The panoramic views make the club an ideal settling for weddings or other very special occasions. The clubhouse restaurant is open to the public. Breakfast is served Saturday and Sunday mornings. Lunch is served Tuesday through Sunday; and dinner is served Wednesday through Friday.
