The purpose of the Political Reform Act is to promote fair elections and good government. Among other things, the Political reform Act requires certain public disclosures of campaign spending. With a City election quickly approaching , the City Clerk’s office emphasizes the importance of complying with all FPPC requirements, and filing forms correctly and timely. Campaign finance disclosures are required by the State (and enforced by the FPPC). More information about the requirements can be found here: http://www.fppc.ca.gov/learn/campaign-rules/where-and-when-to-file-campaign-statements/when-to-file-campaign-statements-state-local-filing-schedules.html.
