ROLL CALL
COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC Members of the audience are invited to address the Committee at this time on items that are not otherwise on the agenda. Per the California Government Code Section 54954.2, the Traffic Safety Committee is prohibited from discussing or taking immediate action on any item not on the agenda unless it can be demonstrated that the item is of an emergency nature, or the need to take action arose subsequent to the posting of the agenda.
CONSENT
1. MARCH 6, 2024 ACTION MINUTES
Recommendation: That the Traffic Safety Committee approve the March 6, 2024 Action Minutes.
OLD BUSINESS
2. CONSIDER THE REQUEST FOR LUNADA BAY PLAZA ON-STREET PARKING TIME RESTRICTIONS
Recommendation: That the Traffic Safety Committee receive the additional information requested at the Traffic Safety Committee meeting of March 6, 2024 and consider the request for Lunada Bay Plaza on-street parking time restrictions and provide direction to Staff.
3. CONSIDER THE REQUEST FOR CENTERLINE STRIPING ON VIA SOMONTE AND VIA CONEJO
Recommendation: That the Traffic Safety Committee deny the request to install centerline striping along Via Conejo and Via Somonte.
4. PROVIDE RECOMMENDATIONS TO STAFF ON THE TOP TWO TRAFFIC PRIORITIES TO BE CONSIDERED BY TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMITTEE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2024-2025.
Recommendation: That the Traffic Safety Committee provide recommendations to staff on the top two traffic priorities to be considered by the Traffic Safety Committee for Fiscal Year 2024-2025.
5. PALOS VERDES DRIVE WEST CORRIDOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
Recommendation: That the Traffic Safety Committee consider options for the Palos Verdes Drive West Corridor and provide direction to staff.
