There are several ways to get involved with the Police Department. The PVE Police Department depends on volunteers to ensure success in both our sponsored and partnered community programs.

Volunteers are used to assist in Disaster Preparedness, PVE-CARES and Neighborhood Watch.

In addition to the above programs, various community events often have a need for volunteers to assist in their success.

For further information, Contact Community Relations Officer Marcelle McCullough at (310) 378-4211.

The PVE Police Department also hosts a basic firearms course for PVE residents. The training is conducted by the PVEPD Firearms Division. This course provides basic information regarding firearm nomenclature, function, variations, ammunition types, firearm laws and basic marksmanship. This is a 12 hour course that takes place over a three week period. The final day includes live range fire at our facility.

For more information on the firearm course, contact a member of the PVEPD Range Staff at (310) 378-4211
