Community Meeting- City Hall Cost Study
What do you think about the City’s Public Works, Planning and Administrative Services?
With the loss of the parcel tax representing 25% of the operating budget for City services, the City made approximately $3 million in one-time and recurring budget cuts and is considering options to address service needs and budget limitations.
45% of the City’s budget dedicated to public works, planning and administrative services. The City is evaluating these program costs, operations, services, and service levels to identify savings, efficiencies, contracting alternatives, and sustainability.
At its October 30, 2017 meeting, the City Council retained the Matrix Consulting Group for a management and services study of public works, planning and administrative departments.
The study will include resident opinions and values in its evaluation. The City encourages residents to attend, as your opinions are valuable in this cost analysis study.
