Plaque Dedicated to Commemorate Development of Lunada Bay Fountain and Park

 On Sunday, June 4, 2017, the City of Palos Verdes Estates and the Lunada Bay Homeowners Association (LBHOA) held a plaque dedication ceremony to recognize the elected officials, volunteers, and residents who contributed to the acquisition and development of Lunada Bay Park and Fountain.

The ceremony was kicked off by LBHOA President Peter Bena with remarks acknowledging the past LBHOA board and volunteers for their efforts to develop the Fountain and Park. In following, Mayor James Vandever recognized the retired elected officials who served on the City Council between 2004 and 2009 for their involvement:

As Mayor during its acquisition and development, Joseph Sherwood shared comments on the effort to transform the site of the former gas station to a park, now enjoyed by residents for special events and its health and wellness benefits.
